Foreclosure Rates Appear to be Dropping
According to the Foreclosure Listing Service (FLS) of Fort Worth, Collin County reported an impressive drop in foreclosures at 21 percent; however, that wasn't the lowest recorded in the four-county area.
Joining other counties in the country that have seen a significant drop in foreclosure listings, Dallas County had the highest decrease in the four country area of 33 percent. It was followed by Denton County at 28 percent, and Tarrant County at 23 percent. According to FLS president George Roddy, these numbers are encouraging, but baffling. He commented that "we can't seem to get our hands around what is driving this decline." Since the economy has not drastically changed over the past year, Roddy and others are looking for answers.
